Details
The main goal of the project is to create a student-led Health Equity Futurism Internship that engages universities across Canada and enrolls employer groups to participate in a pilot. This project will leverage the expertise and resources outlined in the Zymonetics deck.



The strategy should aim to drive health equity and governance, creating policy and access frameworks, particularly for vulnerable populations and those facing disparities in care. It should also aim to redefine total well-being management and benefits administration through personalized and accountable healthcare solutions.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?



Research and analyze the current healthcare landscape in Canada, focusing on a new workforce healthcare plan that addresses disparities in care and vulnerable populations and the following policy gaps:



Pan-Canada data health policy,
Regenerative medicine policy,
Psychedelics and cannabis access,
Social prescription policy


Execute a comprehensive strategy for engaging every university across Canada in the Health Equity Futurism Hackathon.


Project Phases:
Phase 1: Planning and Preparation
Define Objectives:

Establish clear objectives for the health equity futurism campaign, focusing on health disparities, personalized medicine, and well-being management.
Align objectives with the core mission of Zymonetics and its partners.
Recruitment:

Collaborate with academic institutions to identify and recruit student interns from relevant fields (e.g., public health, medicine, health administration).
Select employer partners interested in participating in health equity initiatives and willing to provide support and resources.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage key stakeholders from academic institutions and employer partners.
Conduct introductory meetings to align on goals, expectations, and roles.
Resource Allocation:

Allocate resources, including funding, technology, and personnel, to support the pilot project.
Utilize Zymonetics’ network and expertise in personalized medicine and health equity.
Phase 2: Implementation
Training and Development:

Provide training for student interns on health equity, personalized medicine, and the specific goals of the campaign.
Utilize resources and case studies from the Zymonetics deck, including insights from the Cleveland Clinic’s workplace wellness programs.
Project Launch:

Initiate the pilot project with a formal launch event, involving all stakeholders.
Implement health equity initiatives at selected academic institutions and employer sites.
Program Activities:

Develop and conduct workshops, seminars, and campaigns focused on health equity and personalized medicine.
Promote Health and Lifestyle Spending Accounts (HLSAs) and other personalized health management tools.
Encourage participation in wellness programs and initiatives similar to those described in the Cleveland Clinic case study.
Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect data on program participation, health outcomes, and engagement levels.
Analyze data to measure the impact of the initiatives on health equity and well-being.
Phase 3: Evaluation and Expansion
Evaluation:

Evaluate the success of the pilot project based on predefined KPIs and metrics.
Gather feedback from student interns, academic institutions, and employer partners.
Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the outcomes, successes, and areas for improvement.
Share findings with all stakeholders to demonstrate the impact and value of the campaign.
Expansion:

Use insights and data from the pilot to refine and expand the program.
Identify additional academic institutions and employer partners to scale the project.

Requirements

You have Academic experience in biological sciences, healthcare, health policy, healthcare economics, or a research-driven discipline.


You want to explore and develop skills in leadership, market expansion, environmental sustainability, marketing strategy, and scientific research.


You will learn about strategic planning, data collection, health equity, benefits administration, personalized medicine, key performance indicators (kpis), workplace wellness, corporate social responsibility pilot experiment, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) research and analysis.
